At St Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School Hurstville, students are encouraged to be actively involved in a wide range of decision making. We value student voice and provide a range of opportunities for them to express their beliefs and opinions.
A student representative council provides leadership opportunities for students from Years 2-6 who are elected by their peers. The student representative council along with the Mini Vinnies leaders assists the school in promoting positive relationships in the school community and raising awareness of important community issues.
Teachers support the students to develop the skills they need to be an effective listener and leader with the aim of making our school the best it can be.
